Helping Hands Pregnancy Resource Center began in 1998 in Oakhurst, California to serve young women in the community who were facing an unplanned pregnancy. We offer free pregnancy tests, parenting classes, a baby boutique, and a listening ear. The Center is a Christian non-profit organization, solely supported by local individuals, churches, and other community groups. All of our services are free, confidential, and available to anyone who is need of them. Staff and volunteers manage the day to day operations in both Oakhurst and Mariposa.

Parenting classes are available for parents and grandparents. Those attending parenting classes may earn “baby bucks” which can be used in the baby boutique, filled with diapers of all sizes, cute clothes, toys, and blankets. Helping Hands can arrange for free ultrasounds in Merced and in Fresno. We are not a medical center, nor a professional counseling service, but we can refer our clients to other organizations that offer these services. Our laboratory-quality pregnancy tests are 99% accurate.
